For a long period on the high road to making ends meet I spent countless months in hotels overseas working on contracts. The peculiar feeling of displacement in anonymous hotel rooms and wandering in alien city streets was the impetus for this photographic series. Something close to irrational fear often held me captive, standing at a window, preparing myself mentally to go down onto the street below.
