CLOSE Gallery highlights As Long as It Takes, a group exhibition at Patrick Heide Contemporary Art that brings together drawing and performance as practices shaped by duration, physical effort, and attention. The exhibition opens with a private view on Wednesday, 21 January, from 6 to 9 pm, featuring a live performance by CLOSE Gallery–represented artist Carali McCall, alongside Diogo Pimentão.
Featuring works by Carali McCall, Jaanika Peerna, Diogo Pimentão, and Peter Matthews, the exhibition explores drawing as a process rooted in the body in motion. Lines emerge through sustained, performative actions — sometimes witnessed, sometimes unseen — leaving traces that record endurance, vulnerability, and environmental conditions rather than fixed outcomes.
As Long as It Takes considers drawing as a time-based, embodied practice where action, persistence, and presence are central to the work.
