'Jane Harris: Paintings and Drawings' Exhibition at Frac-Artothèque Nouvelle-Aquitaine: Limoges, France
Close Gallery is pleased to highlight Paintings and Drawings, a monographic exhibition of Jane Harris’s work at Frac-Artothèque Nouvelle-Aquitaine in Limoges. This retrospective-style display showcases both paintings and drawings from across her career, tracing her artistic evolution from early explorations of gardens to her mature focus on the motif of the ellipse.
Born in England in 1956, Harris relocated to the Dordogne in 2005. Her practice combines formal rigour and poetic sensibility - balancing geometry with softness, method with surprise. The show presents works from the Frac-Artothèque collections and collaborates with Close Gallery, curator Camille de Singly, Jiri Kratochvil, and others.
